The science

What is
chrononutrition?

Your body runs on a clock. Every cell, hormone, and metabolic process in your body operates on a roughly 24-hour cycle, which determines when your body is ready to absorb nutrients, produce energy, and repair itself. This field of science is called chrononutrition.

The short version: what you consume matters, but when you consume it matters most.

The window right after waking is the most critical moment in that cycle. Your body is coming out of an overnight fast, your cortisol awakening response is mid-sequence, and your cells are primed to absorb exactly what they need. Most people waste that window on coffee. Your biology calls for something more specific.

ADAM PreDay was built for that window. Every ingredient was chosen to support what your body needs in the first 30 minutes after waking: hydration, cortisol, energy, and mental clarity. Stop taking a stack of supplements that your body only partially absorbs. When your body’s internal clock is properly aligned, you gain more meaningful benefits from the nutrients you take.

Here’s what actually happens while you sleep

Sleep isn’t rest.
It’s maintenance.

Your body spends 7–9 hours burning through stored glycogen, losing fluid through respiration and sweat, rebuilding damaged tissue with the vitamins and minerals it used up in the process, and running its nightly hormonal reset cycle.

By the time you wake up, you’re dehydrated at the cellular level, running low on micronutrients, and your blood is at its thickest of the day.

(Your morning coffee doesn’t fix any of this. It just makes you feel like it did.)

Six systems. One scoop.

Six problems your body wakes up with.

Every ingredient targets what your body needs right after waking: hydration, cortisol support, energy, and mental clarity. Not general wellness. Optimal nutrition, taken at the moment it matters most.

01
Hydration

You’re dehydrated at the cellular level.

7–9 hours without fluid drains the intracellular electrolytes your cells need for enzyme function and energy production. Drinking water alone doesn’t fix dehydration. Cellular rehydration requires specific electrolytes in the right ratios. PreDay opens with them.

02
Cortisol

Your cortisol is at its daily peak.

Within 30 minutes of waking, cortisol naturally spikes to promote your body’s natural alertness. This is your peak window for clarity and output. Most people add caffeine on top, spiking it further and accelerating the afternoon crash. PreDay supports the curve instead of hijacking it.

03
Cognition

Your brain is waiting for its raw materials.

Sleep depletes the precursors your brain needs to produce dopamine, serotonin, and acetylcholine. The mental fog you feel isn’t tiredness. It’s your brain waiting for inputs it needs to rebuild. They’re in the scoop.

04
Cellular energy

Your cells are still in repair mode.

Your mitochondria spend the night in maintenance, clearing damaged proteins, recycling cellular components. Without the right signal, the switch from repair mode to energy production is slow. This is why you can sleep 8 hours and still feel low-grade fatigue for the first hour of the day.

05
Cardiovascular

Your blood is at its thickest.

Overnight dehydration increases blood viscosity. Combined with your cortisol spike, your cardiovascular system is under more strain in the first few hours of the day than at any other time (which is why almost half of strokes happen in the morning).

06
Circadian reset

Every organ is waiting for a start signal.

Every organ has its own circadian clock. This is the science behind the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology. Your morning habits are what set the clocks. ADAM isn’t breakfast. It’s a system-wide signal.
